My Source

My one source for this project is a book called "Marriage and Family Issues." This is a book that simply describes the lives of many citizens living right here in America. Issues such as Single-Parent Households and Alternative Families are mentioned throughout the book. The book gave accurate dates and percentages that let me know how wide this topic really is. The source enlightened me on how people deal with the issues within their families.

How do you feel?

How do you feel about living with a single mom/dad?
At what age do kids feel the most resentment towards a missing parent?
Do your parent's relationships have an effect on your friendships?
If you live with a single parent, do you feel as though you don't have enough help with homework at home?
Do more children live with their mom or dad?

Single Parent Households

I've decided to focus my research on how missing parents effect children. I chose this topic because I can relate. I live with my mom and I don't see my dad often. I know most times kids feel abandoned by the one parent that isn't around as much. Maybe some kids feel as though they don't have to work as hard in school because they don't have two parents in the house to help. I hope to learn how children feel on the subject. I'd also like to learn if more kids live with their mom or dad.
